School Bus Involved in Accident in Odessa

An Ector County ISD school bus had to be evacuated last month after a minor traffic accident. NewsWest9 reported that the bus driver was traveling south on Andrews Highway when he collided with a vehicle turning left onto Andrews Highway. The driver of the passenger vehicle was cited for failure to yield the right of way.  

Two Dead in Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist, David Oakley, and his passenger, Samantha Cantu, died last month after driving into the back of a Chevy pick-up truck at the stoplight of 42nd Street. The crash happened at 10:30 p.m. and no other injuries were reported, according to Odessa American Online.

Motorcycle Rider Ran Over by Drunk Driver

23-year-old Edgar Ibarra has been charged with intoxication, manslaughter, and a second-degree felony after running over a man who had crashed his motorcycle. 

32-year-old Nau Ulate was riding his motorcycle when he lost control of the vehicle and laid in the road. Ibarra was driving east on 2nd Street when he ran over Ulate. CBS7 reported that the investigation is ongoing. 

Another Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash in Odessa

Motorcyclist Robert Bradshaw III was traveling south on Dixie when a Tahoe, driven by Jose Zorrilla, failed to yield the right of way while turning left and hit him. 

Bradshaw was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. He later passed away. CBS7 reported the investigation is still ongoing.
