Flames engulfed a pickup and a large truck on Interstate 20 following a collision on Thursday, May 7. This freeway accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. according to the Odessa American.
Vehicle Crosses Center Median
A press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety states that a 32-year-old male Abilene motorist was eastbound on I-20 in a GMC pickup truck when the vehicle crossed the center median for unknown reasons. It then collided head-on with a 2012 Mack truck. A 23-year-old man from El Paso was driving the Mack truck, according to the DPS.
Injury and Loss of Life
The pickup driver did not survive the crash. The man operating the Mack truck required transport to Martin County Hospital via ambulance. He sustained unspecified injuries in the wreck.
